Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
Itanagar better known as 'the Land of the Dawn Lit Mountains', is nestled on top of low, flat hills and offers a lovely and lively atmosphere for the tourist who visits Arunachal Pradesh. Remnants of an old palace and other such monuments boast of the glorious past of the city. Itanagar today is divided into two parts, each 10 km apart from the other, with the older one named Naharlagun.
